Grants & Strategic Partnerships Coordinator

Organization	Superstition Area Land Trust (SALT)
Position Type	Volunteer leadership position – unpaid
Reports / Works With	SALT President & Executive Committee

Purpose of the Role

Help SALT identify and pursue outside resources while building strategic relationships with foundations, government entities and conservation partners that can strengthen the organization’s long-term impact.

Key Responsibilities

Research grant opportunities aligned with SALT’s mission and programs.
Coordinate grant writing and application development.
Help track grant requirements, deadlines and compliance responsibilities.
Build relationships with foundations and potential funding partners.
Strengthen relationships with government agencies and public-sector partners.
Develop conservation partnerships with organizations that share compatible goals.
Build and lead a small Grants & Strategic Partnerships Committee, with a goal of at least three supporting volunteers.
Work with other SALT leaders to collect the volunteer hours, attendance, partnerships, photographs and measurable outcomes needed to support strong applications.

Who We Are Looking For

A strong researcher and organized writer, or someone willing to coordinate people with those skills.
Someone who is detail-oriented and comfortable managing deadlines.
A relationship-builder who can communicate professionally with agencies, foundations and partner organizations.
A person who understands that successful grants are supported by documented activity and measurable impact.
Prior grant experience is helpful but is not required to care deeply about the role and build a capable team.

What Success Looks Like

SALT develops a consistent grant pipeline, stronger institutional partnerships and better documentation of its impact, positioning the organization to compete for resources as its activity grows.
